Welcome to North Wiltshire Orchestra

North Wiltshire Orchestra is a welcoming and friendly symphony orchestra, made up of amateur musicians from all parts of the county and neighbouring areas. The orchestra was founded in 1966 in Marlborough and has been performing continuously ever since. We rehearse in Devizes, and have three concerts a year in St Andrews’ Church in Chippenham. Have a look at our previous concerts to find out more about what we play.

This autumn we celebrate our 50 year anniversary. The concert will take place on Saturday, 26th November 2016, and will feature Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 and Finzi’s Clarinet Concerto with renowned clarinettist Robert Plane, whose recording of the concerto won Classic CD Magazine’s ‘Best Concerto Recording’ Award and was selected as BBC Radio 3’s recommended version in ‘Building a Library‘.
